Saving Earth One Garden at a Time at a Round Rock Middle School

Planting trees has numerous benefits, both for the environment and for human communities. Trees and plants absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it in their trunks, branches, and leaves, which helps to mitigate the effects of climate change by reducing the amount of carbon in the atmosphere. They absorb pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, ozone, and particulate matter, which can improve the quality of the air we breathe. Teaching kids about the benefits of planting trees helps them develop a deeper appreciation for nature and become more environmentally aware. Click here to read more.
